Three Reasons Why You Should Buy Trundle Bed Covers

If you have decided that the best solution for your sleeping requirements is a trundle bed, then you will also need to buy some trundle bed covers. Since the trundle has become so popular, there are a lot of designs out there to choose from, and each one seems to come with a different set of linen and covers.

When you are buying furniture it is sometimes fun to mix and match between different manufacturers and designers to create your own look. However, with the trundle bed there are some things which you should buy at the same time.

Here is a quick guide to the different types of covers and why you will need to purchase these together.

1. The day and trundle bed combined covers. These are coordinated covers which fit over the day bed mattress, cover the trundle and also usually include some bolsters or cushion covers. It is worth buying these from the manufacturers of your daybed as they are then sure to fit. The ensembles are usually designed to make the combination look like one piece of furniture.

2. The trundle bed skirt covers. These are similar whether the trundle is fitted under a day bed or a standard bed. They are an important cover as they have two functions. Firstly they help to make the furniture look like one item and hence create a more streamlined look. Secondly they are act as a dusk sheet. This means that you can prepare the bed before your guest arrives and keep the skirt covers over it knowing that the bed linen will still be fresh.

3. The trundle bed mattress covers. These are the first layer of bedding for the mattress and I would certainly recommend that you buy these at the same time as the bed as you are unlikely to find the exact same size bed anywhere else. So to ensure a wrinkle free night it is certainly worth getting at least one of these, and probably two, in case the size of mattress you have goes out of production.

Once you have purchased one set of covers for your day bed you can always use these as a template in the future if you want to change the image of the room, but without the initial trundle bed covers it will be harder and more expensive to get new ones made.
